Jenny: I don't know. I like posters but they're quite expensive. I prefer buying postcards because they're cheaper.

Serge: It's OK. but I don't really like modern art very much. I prefer sculpture.

Oh, look at this lovely painting of a woman with an umbrella by Claude Monet. I really like it. I love Impressionist paintings - do you?

Well. I like modern art more than

traditional paintings really.

Yes. I prefer Malevich to Monet.

That's by Damien Hirst. I love it. It's a tiger shark in a glass box. It's amazing! But I'm not sure if it's art!

Recording Serge: There are so many things to do in London. What can we do tomorrow? Any ideas? I'm not sure. I'll get the guidebook. Um. What about the Tate Modern? It's got a lot of modern sculpture. That sounds good. Right. Let's go to the Tate Modern in the morning. Now what about the afternoon? I'd like to see the Hayward Gallery. Is that near? I'll look at the map. Oh yes, it's quite near.
