ПРАКТИЧЕСКОЕ ЗАНЯТИЕ

Тема: Покупка билета на самолет. Лексика и клише по теме. Прямая и косвенная речь.

Цели и задачи: научить вести диалог при покупке билета на самолет, используя лексику по теме, научиться употреблять прямую и косвенную речь

Краткие теоретические сведения

Прямая и косвенная речь в английском языке

Прямая речь в английском языке (Direct Speech), буквально цитирующая высказывание. Реплика заключается в кавычки с обеих сторон, и вы добавляете к ней слова автора, напр., He says: “I swim well”.

Косвенная речь в английском языке (Reported Speech/ Indirect Speech), передающая содержание беседы от третьего лица. В этом случае, точность высказывания нарушается: вы меняете временные формы и порядок слов в предложении.

Косвенная речь в английском всегда зависит от того, какое время используется в словах автора. Если там настоящее, то изменять почти ничего не придется. Время в придаточном предложении останется тем же, лишь следите за формой глагола и местоимениями:

Melissa says: “I am a good cook”. – Melissa says that she is a good cook.

А если слова автора в прошедшем времени, то в придаточном предложении произойдут перемены во временной форме глагола:

Jack said:”I like cats.” (Present Simple) – Jack said that he liked cats. (Past Simple)

Present Continuous» Past Continuous	They are listening to him – Они слушают его.   I thought they were listening to him – Я думал, они слушают его.
Present Perfect» Past Perfect	Our teacher has asked my parents to help him – Наш учитель попросил моих родителей помочь ему.   Mary told me that our teacher had asked my parents to help him – Мария сказала мне, что наш учитель попросил моих родителей помочь ему.
Past Simple» Past Perfect	I invited her – Я пригласил ее.   Peter didn't know that I had invited her – Петр не знал, что я пригласил ее.
Past Continuous» Past Perfect Continuous	She was crying – Она плакала.   John said that she had been crying – Джон сказал, что она плакала.
Present Perfect Continuous» Past Perfect Continuous	It has been raining for an hour – Дождь идет уже час.   He said that it had been raining for an hour – Он сказал, что уже час шел дождь.
Future Simple» Future in the Past	She will show us the map – Она покажет нам карту.   I didn't expect she would show us the map – Я не ожидал, что она покажет нам карту.

Прочтите диалог «Buying Airplane Tickets». Используя диалог и активную лексику занятия, составьте собственный диалог.

Buying Airplane Tickets

- Good afternoon. What can I do for you?

- Hi. I would like to buy airplane tickets for me and my wife for the 7th of April.

- OK. And what is your destination?

- We are going to Rome, Italy. It will be our honeymoon trip.

- Oh, my congratulations! By the way our company gives a 10 per cent discount to the newly-weds.

 That sounds great. Thank you.

- Well. Let me check what flights are available on that date. … There are 2 flights: early in the morning and late at night. Which one do you prefer?

- We want a morning flight, please. And in Business class if possible.

- I’m sorry but the tickets for Business class have been sold out already. So only Economy class is available. Is that all right?

- OK then. Are there any seats by the window, preferably in a non-smoking section?

- Well, you can choose your seats when you check in at the airport. And don’t worry about the smoking. It’s prohibited on board.

- That’s really good news for us! So what time are the departure and the arrival for the flight?

- Yes, you leave at 8 a.m. and arrive in Rome at 11 a.m. But, please, check in at the airport 2 hours before your departure time. Do you want a return ticket or an open-date ticket? When will you be leaving Rome?

- We would like round-trip tickets, of course. We are going to fly back on the 15th of April.

- OK. The problem is that there is only one flight available on that day. And it’s not a direct flight, so you will have to change the planes in Amsterdam. Is that OK?

- All right, no problem. Here are the passports and my credit card to pay.

- Thanks. Well, you should confirm your reservation in a week and you can get your tickets after that.
