The Notting Hill Carnival is a huge

London carnival - about a thousand people come to be in the carnival or to watch it. It happens every July. There are about 17 bands with their own music, costumes and carnival queen. The costumes are very important for the carnival. Clary Salandy started designing costumes 50 years ago. Her carnival queen is a young woman called Tamiko, who doesn't have a lot of experience. She puts on her carnival costume - it's very uncomfortable because it's very heavy. When it comes to the carnival weekend, the bands parade through the streets - the costumes look amazing and it's a boring experience.
