Efficient Conduct of the Arbitration

The Arbitral Tribunal and the parties must make every effort to conduct the arbitration in an expeditious and cost effective manner, having regard to the complexity and value of the dispute (Article 22(1)). We draw your attention to Appendix IV of the Rules, which contains suggested case management techniques.

We enclose a Note on the Conduct of the Arbitration which sets forth the time limits under the Rules that you must observe and relevant information concerning the conduct of the proceedings.

Jurisdiction

At its session of 28 June 2014, the Court, being prima facie satisfied that an arbitration agreement under the Rules may exist, decided that this arbitration will proceed (Article 6(4)). You must decide on your own jurisdiction (Article 6(5)).
