Recent immigration has brought increasing numbers of Muslims, Hindus and Sikhs into Britain. They came from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, the Arab world. All schools of Buddhism are represented here. They have their own centres, temples and monasteries.

Though nominally Christian, Great Britain contains adherents of practically every world religion who are free to practise their particular beliefs in a tolerant and free society.
