Types of contracts

The contract is a legal document containing the terms of an agreement between two firms or parties to supply goods or services as a rule at a fixed price. Contracts of sale and other agreements can be concluded either verbally or in writing. In this country they are made in writing.

Contracts can be of various types: contracts of sale, contracts of purchase, contracts for delivery, contracts for construction work and lease contracts. Contracts of sale include turnkey contracts and large-scale contracts. There may also be barter deals. License agreements deal with the sale and purchase of ideas, scientific-technical knowledge in the form of licenses, patents and know-how.

Auxiliary agreements include Marine policies, Charter parties, Agency and Distributorship agreements etc.
