Is it just me, or is the description of Ademre incorrect here. It describes it as being surrounded by water on 3 sides and the Stormwal mountains on the other, rather than the other way around...

The trilfoil compass mention uses some known fixed points, so i wonder if it is the position of the main cities of this world. BUt i wonder if the four corners are so important, why is the compass called trifoil. I suppose it could be just the triangulation nature of three points, SO if three of them are known as gold, iron and platninum, what is the 4th? and which metal corresponds to which city?

My wish is that Temerant (including the Four Corners) is our own world (planet Earth), but in a far distant future (millennia after a major apocalypse).

Is that "reasonable"?

Why reasonable under quotes?:)

Yep, I agree, it is a huge possiblity. As we can see it looks like Europe, but what's the biggest difference? Some areas that are land now are water on the map, and as we know the water levels are rising. So, very possible it's Earth in distant future.

That's the basic premise in the Wheel of Time series, but I enjoy the twist on things in this series more, if that is indeed the concept

I remember Rothfuss saying that four corners referenced the four largest cities in the area, and not the different empires. Can't find the source though.
