Part A. Read the article and do the tasks below. (12 points)

1. The Royal Wolverhampton School is located in the centre of England, 2 hours from London by train or car. Wolverhampton is a university town with a population of 240,000. In addition to its many shops and restaurants, it offers a theatre, an art gallery, a museum and a bowling alley.

2. All our teachers are native speakers of English, who have been selected for their experience, personality and ability to communicate with young people. Each lesson lasts 45 minutes. The focus is on teaching speaking and listening skills. Modern course materials are given to students for the duration of the course. Students will take a short test on their first day in order to place them in the class of the suitable level. The maximum class size will be fifteen. All students will be given a certificate at the end of the stay.

3. An exciting choice of sports will be organized on the school campus by our young and friendly team. The school has a wide variety of sports facilities including a 25m indoor heated swimming pool, tennis court, a gym and numerous sports fields.

4. One full day and one half day tour will be organized by the school each week. The aim of the tours will be to give the students an insight into British culture but there will be lots of opportunities for shopping.

5. Most students will be accommodated in one of the school’s six boarding houses. Girls and boys will normally live in separate houses. There are between one and five beds per room. Students who will share a bedroom will always be matched with students of a similar age, but of a different nationality. The school also organizes for students to stay with local host families if preferred.
