Security Council

Dear delegates of Security Council!

During the upcoming MINTMUN conference we will be your chairs – formal officials of the committee. We expect this conference to be the best we ever had. To do that, all of us should try to be extremely active, to be eager to participate in the debates, and, of course, to be well-prepared.

Security Council is the most significant body of the United Nations. It consists only of 15 nations, and their decisions can have an influence on the whole world. The resolutions of Security Council are mandatory, and that’s why all the things you say and write can be very valuable, so feel free to express your ideas, you will always find supporters, who will help you change this universe for the best.

To start with, we would like to introduce ourselves.

My name is Vadim Bayandin. I’m a 4th year student of Faculty of International Relations of Belarusian State University. I’m participating in Model United Nations conferences since 2009. My primary objective is to create a working and productive atmosphere of the real UN that we all will be able to enjoy. I want it to be formal, solemn, serious-minded, but at the same time friendly and pleasurable. I’m sure that we will perform splendid teamwork and reach agreement on the issues provided further. I’m looking forward to work with you at our modern and high-level MINTMUN conference!

I am Adeeb Hameed a student of the Vitebsk state medical university. As most of the people around me wonder what has a medical student got to do with MUN I am pretty sure you delegates might be wondering too. I strive and study hard to become a well known neurosurgeon and that’s my professional life, MUN is my passion and i love debating and making new friends in a common platform. I am also the student president of the Sri Lankan students union and the VSMU-UN. I have been participating in many conferences in different countries like Sri Lanka, Germany, USA, Belarus etc since 2008.

We would like to you that the following guide only provides you with a general idea and we expect the delegates to use the guide to think and bring up solutions by developing the concepts brought by the guide. This guide is targeted to give a general overview to the delegates. The following guide would elaborate the concept of security council, about me the chair and a small description about the topic and few links which would help you proceed with your research work.

Good luck and see you at the conference!

Vadim Bayandin and Adeeb Hameed
