The CVAP expresses the beginning, repetition, duration or cessation of the action. It consists of:
1. such verbs as: to begin, to start, to commence, to fall, to set about, to go on, to keep on, to proceed, to continue, to stop, to give up, to finish, to cease, etc. + infinitive or gerund.
e.g. He began to ask too many questions and they killed him.
2. ‘would to’, ‘used to’ + infinitive, when we mean a repeated action in the past.
e.g. We would often go to the river being small children.
