III. Let’s talk about international cooperation.
International relations have always been significant part of the policy of the Republic of Belarus. Back to October 1945 a delegation from our country, which wasn`t an independent state yet, alongside other delegations signed the United Nations gives us an opportunity to ensure national security and sovereignty to this day. In economic terms, it provides country`s internal development. Our contribution is also essential. In the past few years, Belarus has involved in United Nations peace-keeping operations promoting international peace and security.
Another way of international cooperation is creating twin towns and sister cities between countries to establish cultural and commercial ties. This form of social agreement encourages friendship between different cultures and increases tourism.
After gaining independence in 1991, Belarus paid a lot of attention to its foreign policy.
Our country is also renowned for the International festival of Arts «Slavyansky Bazaar».
It is held annually in Vitebsk. To conclude, I should say that modern Belarus is sovereign European state with a peaceful foreign policy. Its government does its best to develop cooperation with foreign partners from all over the world.

Some stereotypes about cultures or nationalities may be positive, even amusing when presented as jokes and anecdotes. I want to say that the 21st century is marked by a huge free flow of information exchange on the Internet. It has brought enlightenment, but also wide distribution of false information.
Belarusians are very hard working but at the same time homely people. That`s why life of a Belarusian is basically centred around work and family. Weekends are a wonderful illustration of this. After a working week the whole family pack food and go out of town to traditional cottages call «dachas». There they usually work in the gardens and have barbecues, swim in the lake and pick mushrooms and berries in the forest.
If you want to get a healthy outlook on world, you should travel more. Crush stereotypes, celebrate individuality, and you will learn, grow and be a happier person.

III. Let’s talk about outstanding people.
Each country can boast its own outstanding personalities. Great Britain has given the world many talented scientists, politicians, sportsmen, writers and poets, painters and musicians. The names of Charles Darwin, Isaac Newton, Charles Dickens, John Lennon, Charlie Chaplin speak for themselves. A former star of the legendary Manchester United David Beckham also deserve mentioning. Our country has also made a big contribution to the world`s heritage due to its gifted historic figures and our contemporaries. It`s the motherland of such writers as Y. Kolas, Y. Kupala, A. Mitskevich, V. Bykov, K. Krapiva, I. Shamyakin, M. Tank, V. Korotkevich. Among the most prominent Belarusian artists are Marc Chagall, Kazimir Malevich. We can be justly proud of our sportsmen Maxim Mirny, Victoria Azarenka, Darya Domracheva, Alexei Grishin. The year of 2015 was marked by a significant event. The first writer from Belarus was awarded Nobel Prize in Literature. This was Svetlana Alexievich. Her works are «War Does Not Have a Woman`s Face», «Boys in Zinc», «Chernobyl Prayer».
