Примечание. Учитывая, что при изложении содержания лекций приводились тематические списки реалий, к которым Составитель хотел бы привлечь внимание студента, а отчасти также и просто следуя сложившейся педагогической традиции, нашедшей отражение в ряде британских и отечественных пособий по страноведению, было сочтено целесообразным в конце настоящего УМК привести алфавитный список реалий. Включенные в него единицы не толкуются, так как, в отличие от терминов теоретических дисциплин, в данном случае, по понятным причинам, отсутствует проблема расхождений в интерпретации, а сами включенные в Глоссарий единицы могут быть при необходимости легко найдены в общедоступных лингвострановедческих словарях и энциклопедиях (Студенту рекомендуется обращаться в первую очередь к следующим лексикографическим источникам: Room A. An A to Z of British Life. Oxford University Press, 1995 и позднейшие издания; The Hutchinson Encyclopedia of Britain. Helicon Publishing, 1999 и позднейшие издания; Kenyon J.P.
