4. Policy of assessment of students' knowledge.

(Extract from the Rules of the current, midterm control and final certification of students)

The tasks of the IWS(IWST), requirements for their implementation and evaluation criteria are included in the  AIS “Univer 2.0” system.

Types of knowledge control:

Questions of current, midterm control and final examination correspond to the themes of lectures and practical (seminar) classes, laboratory work, homework.

Control questions are entered into the system "Univer".

Current control:

1)Control work: 2 times per semester  

2) Colloquium: 4 times per semester         
3) Defense of laboratory work
4) Individual task (IWS): 4 tasks per semester

Note:

The number of  IWS tasks during the semester-no more than 6. The maximum score for each type of current control is put in those weeks, which are given in table 1. The sum of points of the current control (before midterm control) should not exceed 100 points.

Midterm control: test on the 8th and 15th week (oral)
Final examination: during the session in written form.

Knowledge assessment share (%)

Current control (CC) – 30 %

Midterm control (МC) – 30%
Final control (Е) – 40%

Total: 100%

 

The results of the interim certification are calculated according to the following formula:

 

Сurrent control 1 (СC1)≤100

Midterm control 1(MC1))≤100

Current control 2 (CC2))≤100

Midterm control 2(MC2)≤100

Еxamination (Е))≤100

 

Final control (FC) = 0,15*CC1+ 0,15*MC1+0,15*CC2+0,15*MC2+0,4*Е

Note: The session is open to students who have fully paid the tuition, attending classes over 75%, scored passing points of current and midterm control (passing points 0.15*CC1+0.15*MC1+0.15*CC2+0.15*MC2≥30 points), who are not on academic leave or on long-term treatment.

Attention: During performance and delivery of all types of tasks and at delivery of midterm control and examination it is necessary to observe the principles of academic honesty. During the midterm control and examination it is forbidden to use all information, computing devices or to talk, copy with other student. If this requirement is not met, the examination is terminated and an act is drawn up. For violation of the principles of academic honesty to the students who completed the act, the deans of faculties take measures. In case of gross violation of the student's principles of academic honesty during the examination, the question of their expulsion is considered.

Retake a positive assessment of the final control in order to improve the assessment at this stage of the examination session is not allowed.

In the case of an assessment of "unsatisfactory" corresponding to the mark "FX", the student has the opportunity to re-pass the final control without re-passing the program of discipline. At the same time, at the end of the examination session, the student with the permission of the Dean of the faculty passes the exam on an individual schedule.

 In case of receiving an "unsatisfactory" grade corresponding to the "F" mark, the student is re-enrolled in this academic discipline/module in the next academic period or summer semester, attends all types of training sessions, performs all types of educational work in accordance with the program and re-passes the final control.

 During the interim certification may retake the exam in the discipline no more than two times.

When receiving a third time evaluation of FX or F, corresponding to the assessment of "unsatisfactory", the student is expelled from the University, regardless of receiving the assessment of "unsatisfactory" and is deprived of the opportunity to re-enroll in this discipline.

Requirements to students

1. Do not be late for classes;

2. Do not talk during classes, turn off the mobile phone;

3. Attend classes in business clothes;

4. Attend classes, present a certificate in case of absence; 

5. Repeated performance of the missed classes in the additional time appointed by the teacher;

6. In case of non-fulfillment of tasks, the final score is lowered;

7. Initiative (active) participation in the educational process;

8. Timely execution of tasks of the IWS;

9.Compliance with ethical standards within the University, during classes, in the relations of students and teachers.
