On Saturday

It's Saturday today. All my family are busy with housework. Look, what we are all doing now. As for me, I am having a rest from my dutiesto tell you about the others. My brother has just peeled potatoes he is cutting them now. He's also emptied the dustbin and vacuum cleaned

the carpets in all the rooms. I have dusted the furniture and washed the floors. So we have cleaned up the flat. Our grandpa has mended his old armchair and is sitting in it proudly and reading his favourite magazine. Our parents are not at home. They have gone shopping. I think they are in the supermarket now. I can imagine how carefully my dad is choosing wine and snacks as we are receiving guests tonight. My mum is maybe looking at boxes of chocolates. There is always a wide choice of them there. She just can't live without something sweet and when we have a party, there are always sweets and chocolate on the table. Our parents usually go to the supermarket on Saturday morning to buy everything necessary for the week. It's very convenient and saves a lot of time and money. Sometimes my dad and I do it. After shopping my mum usually does washing and ironing. I have nothing against washing as we have a good washing machine. But I hate ironing though I do it of course to help mum.
