“The USA: Geographical Position, Political and Educational System”

1. Give the official name of The USA, as well as the form of the state government, name the quantity of the states, and find its capital on the map.

2. One person is to go to the blackboard and to ask the others to look at the picture and to describe briefly (кратко опишите) the geographical position of the USA including such aspects as:

- three consistent parts;

- the total area and borders;

- The oceans, mountains, regions and landscapes and large cities and climate.

“The moderator” is to ask the questions about the things concerning (относительно) he’s listening about.

The students telling about the geographical position are to use the phrases (see below) and the introductory phrases (from the table): On the map we can see…/ Here we have… /There is/are…/Have a look at the map, please…/If we look up at the map, we will see…

The moderating student may interrupt (прерывать) and ask, using following phrases: Excuse me, may I ask you a question?
