The dissertation is dedicated to analysis of power as phenomenon of existence. The doctrines of the important representatives of the existentialism, as well as those in other trends of philosophy in which the understanding of power as subject-subject relations reflected on different levels of human existence the scope of becoming and actualisation of which they make, are rewieved and scrutinised in length. Based on a critical analysis of texts of existentialists as well as other philosophers and on elucidation of meanings of such notions as existence, being, phenomenon, situation, project, image, appearance etc., it is also shown in the dissertation what the essence of the phenomenon of power is. Above all, it is demonstrated in the dissertation that power is a transcendent essence which expresses itself in interaction between being and its appearances (and existence is one of those appearances). Determining and forming existence, of which power appears to be the fundamental dimension, power realises itself on all the levels of human existence making the deep essence of it.
