Microscopy of base metal ores and milling products

The mineralogical composition and texture of a sample can be obtained only by its microscopic examination. Microscopy may be complemented by other methods of investigation such as X-ray diffractometry, spectography or microanalysis but it cannot be replaced because no other method allows us to recognise minerals in their natural form.
