How many PANS do you know? Как много вы их знаете?

There are four PANS:

· Air Traffic Management (ICAO document 4444, PANS-ATM) which s pecifies the actual procedures to be used by air traffic service units in providing the various air traffic services to air traffic.

· Aircraft Operations (ICAO document 8168, PANS-OPS) which l ays down rules for designing instrument approach and departure procedures. Such procedures are used to allow aircraft to land and take off when instrument meteorological conditions (IMC) impose instrument flight rules (IFR).

· Abbreviations and Codes (ICAO document 8400, PANS-ABC) which is a list of abbreviations and codes commonly used in aviation.

· Regional Supplementary Procedures (ICAO document 7030) which contains material on regional flight planning procedures specific to the MID/ASIA and PAC regions.

Что такое AIP?

Aeronautical Information Publication (or AIP) is defined by the International Civil Aviation Organization as a publication issued by or with the authority of a state and containing aeronautical information of a lasting character essential to air navigation.

The structure and contents of AIPs are standardized by international agreement through ICAO. AIPs normally have three parts:

GEN (general),

ENR (en route),

AD (aerodromes).

Notice to Airmen (NOTAM or NoTAM) is a notice filed by an aviation authority to alert aircraft pilots of potential hazards along a flight route or at a location that could affect the safety of the flight.

What information does NOTAM contain? Какую информацию содержит НОТАМ?

NOTAMs are unclassified notices or advisories distributed by means of telecommunication that contain information concerning the establishment, conditions or change in any aeronautical facility, service, procedure or hazard, the timely knowledge of which is essential to personnel and systems concerned with flight operations.
