PRESENT PROGRESSIVE

НАСТОЯЩЕЕ ПРОДОЛЖЕННОЕ ВРЕМЯ

 

Настоящее продолженное время Present Progressive используется для выражения будущих действий, когда мы говорим о заранее запланированных и уже организованных действиях. По значению совпадает с be going to (2):

 We're visiting the Capitol before lunch.                   До обеда мы идем на экскурсию в Капитолий.

We're not having a tour of the Smithsonian.           Мы не идем на экскурсию по музею Смитсониан.

What arc we doing after dinner?                               Что мы делаем после ужина?

Особенно часто настоящее продолженное время употребляется в значении будущего с глаголами движения:

 She's leaving in January.                                            Она уезжает в январе.

Gary is arriving from Alaska.                                     Гэри прибывает с Аляски.

We're going to California.                                           Мы едем в Калифорнию

He's flying back on Sunday.                                      Он возвращается (прилетает) в воскресенье.

 

SIMPLE PRESENT

ПРОСТОЕ НАСТОЯЩЕЕ ВРЕМЯ

 

Простое настоящее время Simple Present употребляется также в значении будущего и обозначает действия, которые произойдут согласно расписанию, особенно с глаголами:

Depart, leave – уходить, приходить, отправляться, отходить

Come, arrive – прибывать,

Start,begin - начинаться,

End - заканчиваться

The show begins at 8 and it ends at midnight.        Представление начинается в восемь и заканчивается в

полночь.

When does our plane leave?                                      Когда улетает наш самолет?

This train doesn't arrive early.                                    Этот поезд прибывает не рано.

В русском языке мы тоже употребляем настоящее время в значении будущего.
