ИЗМЕНЕНИЕ МЕСТОИМЕНИЙ
Если изменения глагола в косвенной речи происходят по определенным правилам, то местоимения и наречия меняются исходя из здравого смысла, логики вещей. Главное, чтобы в косвенной речи не был нарушен или искажен смысл высказывания:
He said, «I have forgotten to send your regards to my family.»
He said he had forgotten to send my regards to his family.
He said, «She is coming this week.»
He said she was coming that week.
He said, «I bought these flowers for my mother.»
He said he'd bought those flowers for his mother.
Иногда, чтобы избежать непонимания или двусмысленности, требуется заменить местоимение на существительное или целое словосочетание:
He said, «It came in through the window.»
He said the cat had come in through the window.
He told me, «They cost me fifty dollars.»
He told me that the flowers he had just bought for his mother, had cost him fifty dollars.
She said, «I'll take this one.»
She said she would take the one with red stripes.
ИЗМЕНЕНИЕ НАРЕЧИЙ - ОБСТОЯТЕЛЬСТВ ВРЕМЕНИ И МЕСТА
Now - then
Today - that day
Yesterday - the day before
the day before yesterday - two days before
tomorrow - the next day
the day after tomorrow - in two days' time
this week / month / year - that week / month / year
last week / month / year - the previous week / month / year
next week / month / year - the following week / month / year
a year ago - a year before / the previous year
here - there
Изменения наречий следует производить не формально, а руководствуясь здравым смыслом. Если высказывание было сделано и передано в один день, то изменять наречия - обстоятельства времени не надо:
At breakfast this morning he said, «I'U be very busy today.»
At breakfast this morning he said that he would be very busy today.
He told me today, «I'm leaving on Monday.»
He told me today he is / was leaving on Monday.
