After retirement, many American senior citizens prefer to work several hours a day. They have a lot of possibilities for this: to check in and check out books in libraries, or to work in department stores.
Some retirees choose to work in schools and kindergartens.
Other senior citizens prefer to spend several hours a day in coffee shops: they fry different types of coffee, put them into containers or sell different kinds of tea - from Nepal, India, Sumatra, Kenya – to their visitors.
II. Life of Senior Citizens in Russia.
Quality and Level of Life.
Unfortunately, the elderly have been completely forgotten in Russia. Nobody respects them; they have to stand in long queues. Pensions that they receive are not enough to pay for housing and utilities. Sometimes their pensions are not enough even to buy bread or milk. And no money to buy expensive medicine!
I decided to conduct a survey of my grandparents and their friends. They had to assess the quality of their lives on a 100-point scale.
