He participates in our prayers. Jesus said to pray TO the Father IN Jesus’ name. Jesus promised our answers because He was going to be with the Father (John 14:13-17; 16:23-28; Heb. 7:24,25; 8:1; 9:11,12).

What He is doing would be the second question after clear understanding of the first one. And the book of Revelation might be very helpful in it, especially in the part where the Ark of the Covenant appeared.

This may be challenging for you to accept, but the Bible says “Hebrews 9:11-12: 11 But when Christ appeared as a high priest of the good things to come, He entered through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation; 12 and not through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood, He entered the holy place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.” What is called “the holy place” is a direct reference to the Ark of the Covenant or Throne of God (see “What is the sanctuary?” http://noelrt.com/?p=740). It is not a room, it is God’s throne. In the tabernacle the symbol was the ark of the covenant. The reality is in Heaven and this text gives the location and time. The time was past tense when the book of Hebrews was written and the location was God’s throne in Heaven. NAS Hebrews 8:1: “Now the main point in what has been said is this: we have such a high priest, WHO HAS TAKEN HIS SEAT AT THE RIGHT HAND OF THE THRONE OF THE MAJESTY IN THE HEAVENS.”
