Text. Our country.
I live in Russia. There are over a thousand cities in our country. Moscow is the capital of Russia, its political and cultural centre. Other big cities are Saint Petersburg, Novgorod, Nizhny Novgorod, Omsk, etc.
Fourteen seas wash the shores of our country.There are over two million rivers in Russia. Many large rivers, such as the Volga, the Ob, are navigable.
Russia is rich in natural resources: coal, oil and others.
The population of our country is about one hundred and fifty million. There are people of many nationalities in Russia. They speak over a hundred languages. Seventy per cent of the population live in cities.
The climate in the North of Russia is cold. In the central part we have a continental climate. In the South it is mild and warm.
