Exercise # 1. Use the verbs in the brackets in the Present Indefinite Tense:

 

1) She usually (to go shopping) on Saturday. 2) They (to have) their dinner at one and the same time. 3) My mother (to cook) the food when I (to be) at the Institute. 4) Cookery (to involve) a variety of cooking techniques. 5) Cooking (to encompass) a vast range of methods. 6) Her grandmother (to grow) flowers. 7) Michael (not to drink) coffee in the evening.

 

Exercise# 2. Give a short account of:

 

a) what you usually do at the University; at home in the evening;

b) what your mother does on weekends; on Sunday;

c) how your family spends weekends;

d) where your friend often goes after classes;

e) when you always have breakfast;

f) who usually helps you to lay the table;

g) what she often likes to eat for supper.

 

Exercise # 3. You have to use these sentences to make questions. Begin the questions with the words in brackets: Model: I go swimming. (How often?) – How often do you go swimming?
