III. Перевод повелительных предложений в косвенную речь осуществляется с помощью глаголов:
1. ask — просить
2. tell smb — сказать (велеть) кому-то
При этом никаких изменений с глаголом в косвенной речи проводить не надо, так как перед ним стоит частица to.
При переводе повелительных предложений в косвенную речь используется следующие схемы:
ПРИМЕР
Прямая речь
He says (said), «Children, be quiet and don’t make noise!»
Он говорит (сказал): «Дети, тише! Не шумите!»
Косвенная речь
He tells (told) the children to be quiet and not to make noise.
Он велит (велел) детям быть потише и не шуметь.
IV. Перевод в косвенную речь предложений типа: «Let’s play …..” и ответов на них осуществляется с помощью глаголов: suggest – предлагать, agree — соглашаться, refuse — отказываться.
Suggest — особый глагол, после которого употребляется ТОЛЬКО форма глагола с ING- окончанием.
ПРИМЕР He said, “Let’s play”. — He suggested playing.
ОТВЕТЫ: We refused. – Мы отказались. / We agreed. – Мы согласились.
