A. The family in Britain is changing. People get married at a later age and many career oriented women don’t have children immediately. They prefer to do well at their jobs first and put off having a baby until their late thirties. However, marriage and family are still popular. Most people in Britain still get married and stay together until the end of their lives. The majority of divorced people marry again, and they sometimes take responsibility for a second family. Relationships within the family are also changing. Parents treat their children more as equals than they used to do.
B. My younger brother is allowed to do what he likes with it. He doesn’t have a lot of space, but it is his favourite place, so he spends a lot of time there. He is the youngest in the family so he also has a lot of toys on the shelves. He sometimes gets bored with the way it is and when he does he changes it round. He often moves the bed and change the posters on the walls.
C. Dean Palmer is fourteen years old. He may also use the names Dick Page or Daryl Preston. He has short fair hair and is of medium height and slim build. He wears glasses. He was last seen wearing jeans, a brown leather jacket and black trainers. If you see him call the police immediately.
D. You are a natural optimist. You are happy most of the time and always expect the best. However, you are often careless and you don’t always hard enough, because you think everything will be fine. Remember, nobody is lucky all the the time.
E. A new "grannies-for-rent" service in Poland brings together elderly people without families, and people who miss having real grandparents. A local University for the Elderly set up the programme, which aims to benefit people from all generations.

F. Victorian life was very strict. Family and religion were important. Families were often large with the father as the head of the house. Children called their father ‘sir’ and obeyed him without question. Almost every family except the very poorest had a servant to do the housework and look after children. There was a huge difference the rich and the poor. Rich families often had very comfortable lives in big houses with lots of money. Poor families who had no money were often taken into workhouses. Many children in poor families died from diseases such as scarlet fever, polio an TB.
G. A man in southern India married a female dog in a traditional Hindu ceremony. P. Selvakumar, 33, married the sari-draped former stray named Selvi, chosen by family members. Selvakumar said he had been suffering since he killed two dogs 15 years before. «After that my legs and hands got paralyzed and I lost hearing in one ear» he said. An astrologer had told Selvakumar the wedding was the only way he could cure the maladies.
