Stationery Shop Fire

Police are investigating a fire which completely destroyed a Harlow stationery shop late last night. The fire started in the office of OF-Op Ltd soon after the staff left. The fire was first seen by Anne Bell, an employee, who immediately rang the fire brigade. Five minutes later the firemen arrived, but it was too late and the shop was completely burnt. One fireman was slightly injured by the fire and he was taken to the hospital, but went home this morning. Anne Bell, an employee of Office Supplies Ltd. explained: “I worked late last night and left the office at eight o’clock. On my way to the bus stop I saw smoke coming out of the shop. I rang the fire brigade immediately and also I rang the Of-Op’s manager, Mr. Donaldson. I know him well. He buys some of the stationery from BOS.” Unfortunately, the shop was completely destroyed.
