PARIS (UPI) – The International Herald Tribune said yesterday it was studying the possibility of printing its daily newspaper in Hong Kong to speed up its distribution throughout Asia. The English-language daily, which is distributed in 143 countries, said the planned printing plant in Hong Kong would produce the newspaper from facsimile images transmitted directly via satellite from the paper's headquarters in Paris.
