Article 2. Legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the National Security field

Legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of national security based on the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan and consists of this Law and other regulations of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Article 3. Principles of national security
Republic of Kazakhstan

The principles of the national security of the Republic of Kazakhstan are:
1) the rule of law in carrying out activities to ensure national security;
2) prompt mutual awareness and consistency among national security forces;
3) the unity, relationship and balance of all types of national security;
4) the priority of political, economic and informational measures;
5) the mutual responsibility of the individual, society and state;
6) monitor the implementation of the entire set of actions to protect national security.

Article 4. National interests of the Republic of Kazakhstan

National interests of the Republic of Kazakhstan are:
1) ensuring the rights and freedoms of man and citizen;
2) the preservation of social harmony and political stability in the country;
3) economic development for the benefit of the people of Kazakhstan;
4) education of Kazakhstani patriotism and strengthening the unity of the people of Kazakhstan;
5) the preservation and increase of material and spiritual values of the Kazakh society;
6) the inviolability of the constitutional system of the Republic of Kazakhstan, including the state independence, unitary structure and a presidential form of governance, integrity, inviolability of state borders and the inalienability of the country;
7) the sustainable functioning of public institutions, strengthening and improving the efficiency of their activities;
8) provision of equipment and combat readiness of the Armed Forces, other troops and military formations of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
9) the unconditional implementation of laws and law enforcement;
10) the development of international cooperation based on partnership;
11) sustainable operation and development of domestic subjects of agriculture, to fully ensure food security.
