Дополнительная ответственность переводчика состоит не только в том, что он должен перевести так, чтобы сделка состоялась; иногда переводчик несёт вполне конкретную юридическую ответственность за перевод. Поэтому и существует особый вид юридического перевода. Но и на переводчика, не занимающегося юридическим переводом, также часто лежит юридическая и финансовая ответственность. Об этом следует всегда помнить тем, кто переводит документы для коммерческих организаций.

During your visit, we discussed the possibility of providing Fiodor with OMIS-21SE external connection module. We promised to provide you with this module within a week after your departure. Actually, as far as you remember, we were able to provide the module on the second day after our discussion and made an Russian translation of this document with Fiodor’s help and in the way that suits him. So the module was delivered to you.

Additionally, we found a way to meet the requirements of your clients in terms of connectors. So, we changed the original module and mailed the revised version last week.

I do not understand what electrical devices and electrical module you are talking about. I assumed that we have complied with the obligations and Fiodor was satisfied when we provided him with the module that I have mentioned before. Please, give me more detailed explanation about the module Fiodor needs.

As for the second issue, I’ve already mentioned that at the moment there is no reason to doubt on-time delivery. We have already settled all the issues on components with key manufacturers and suppliers. However, our Agreement indicates one condition: the delivery would be made on time, if the funds are transferred to the KesNA’s account until September 30, 2014. Today is October 6, 2014. If KesNA doesn’t receive funds today, there is nothing left but to inform you about shift in the delivery timing corresponding with the period of funding delay. We took on serious obligation in terms of delivery dates and we are ready to help you ensuring your obligations to your clients. But I believe you also have to contribute to the implementation of our shared commitments.

Dear D,

As I’ve mentioned earlier, we have agreed on delivery issues with suppliers, and the order schedule would be ready only after a receipt of invoices for payment.

At the moment I can inform you that delivery of all the components would be carried on a pre-paid basis. You have already received all information on payment terms for detectors. Payment terms for computer equipment are: 100% prepayment, delivery in 7–9 weeks after invoice payment. The situation is the same for the other components. For X-ray generators it is 3 months (Delivery in installments is also available and we should specify if we need that option. They have never failed us before. Probably we should prepay 65% of the cost). The supplier of Norma systems has promised to deliver in time (no more than 3 months and 100% prepayment). As for digital board from Yekaterinburg (I contacted them while you were in Chelyabinsk) – should be ready to deliver in 3 months. Advance payment of 65–70% is possible.

All the above mentioned information is only preliminary arrangements and I still haven’t requested invoices. The funds haven’t hit the account yet.

I can’t provide you with information on spare parts – they are not the subject of the contract. We need a separate agreement for spare parts.
