5. The partner delivering the cargo; the cargo delivered by the partner.
6. The country exporting oil; oil exported by the country.
7. The company providing services; the services provided by the company.
12. Translate sentences; pay attention to the functions of the Gerund:
А) in the function of the subject:
1. Maintaining constant temperature and pressure during the test was absolutely necessary. 2. The students’ taking part in the research was of great help to the whole laboratory.
B) in the function of the part of the verb:
1. The task of the factory was turning out corrosion-resistant polymers in far larger quantities. 2. Their aim is finding new ways of utilizing this first-class polymer in light industry.
C) in the function of the adjective:
1. The new heating and lighting installation housed in a special building supplied the shops of our plant with heat and light. 2. Instruments for measuring the pressure of gases and liquids are called manometers.
