The Verbals of the transitive verbs have special formsfor the Active and the Passive voice.

Infinitive

We can send the letter right now. – Indefinite Active

The letter must be sent right now. – Indefinite Passive

Participle I

The girl looked at us as if asking for help. – Indefinite Active

Being asked for help she will never refuse. – Indefinite Passive

Gerund

I like listening to this man. – Indefinite Active

This man likes being listened to. – Indefinite Passive
