Методические указания по выполнению контрольных работ

Целью выполнения контрольной работы является закрепление изученного материала, контроль знаний и умений, приобретенных в процессе самостоятельного изучения учебного материала.

На полный курс изучения английского языка (профессионального) отводится 109 часов. Аудиторные занятия для студентов-заочников составляют 18 часов в год.

За весь курс обучения студенты выполняют две контрольные работы, готовят чтение и пе­ревод двух текстов делового характера. Первый год изучения английского языка (профессио­нального) завершается сдачей зачета, второй - сдачей экзамена.

Контрольные работы, выполняемые в письменном виде, должны быть представлены на отделение за 2 недели до начала сессии. При их выполнении студенту рекомендуется пользо­ваться соответствующей литературой, а также двуязычными англо-русскими словарями.

Контрольные работы с оценкой «Незачет» возвращаются студенту на переработку. Работы с пометкой «К защите» оставляются на отделении и дорабатываются студентом во время сесси­онных занятий в присутствии преподавателя. Тексты, предназначенные для самостоятельного чтения, сдаются студентом в устной форме на сессионных занятиях. Контроль прочитанного осуществляется посредством чтения на языке и выборочного перевода. При ответе студент мо­жет пользоваться составленным им списком неизвестных для него слов по данному тексту.

Изучение предмета «Английский язык (профессиональный)» рассчитано на 2 семестра. В соответствии с этим студенты выполняют по одной контрольной работе в каждом семестре.

Выполнение контрольных заданий и требования к их оформлению

 

1. Каждое контрольное задание представлено в трех вариантах. Номер варианта, который
 вы должны выполнить, определяется по последней цифре вашего личного студенческого шиф-
ра. Если ваш шифр оканчивается на цифры 0, 1,2, 3, вы выполняете вариант №1, если на цифры
4, 5, 6, вы выполняете вариант №2, если на цифры 7, 8, 9, вы выполняете вариант №3.

 2. Контрольные работы выполняются в отдельной тетради, желательно в клеточку и пи-
шутся разборчивым почерком. Допускается выполнение контрольной работы в компьютерном
варианте.

Вопросы переписываются полностью. По краям оставляются широкие поля для замеча­ний, объяснений и методических указаний проверяющего.

 3. При получении проверенной работы необходимо внимательно ознакомиться с замеча-
ниями рецензента и проанализировать отмеченные ошибки. Если предложение требует не-
большой корректировки, то исправления можно внести рядом с замечанием рецензента. В про-
тивном случае исправленные предложения переписываются заново в конце соответствующей
контрольной работы.

4. Отрецензированные контрольные работы являются документами, которые хранятся на бумаге до сдачи вами экзамена. На зачете и экзамене производится проверка усвоения материала поступившего

в контрольную работу.

 

Экзаменационные требования

 

К экзамену допускаются студенты, выполнившие контрольную работу и сдавшие учебный материал по чтению за семестр. Экзаменационные задания включают в себя:

1. Беседа по одной из изученных тем.

2. Перевод (устно) предложений-штампов с русского языка на английский (по изученным разговорным темам).

3. Перевод текста делового характера.

Перечень экзаменационных заданий находится на отделении.

SMIRNOV'S DAY

 

1. Smirnov is the President of a foreign trade firm.

In the morning he gets up at about 6.30. His wife and children get up later. He goes to the bath­room to take a bath. Then he has breakfast. For breakfast he haas some egges, coffee and sandwiches. He leaves for work at eight o'clock. His office hours begin at 9 o'clock but he usually comes earlier to get ready for work.

2. In the morning the secretary brings him letters and cables. He reads the mail and sends answers to foreign firms. He often receives foreign businessmen at his office. They usually come to discuss prices, terms of payment, shipment and delivery and other business points. Sometimes he goes abroad on business to have talks with foreign customers. Smirnov can speak two foreign languages.

3. At 12.30 Smirnov has lunch. He finishes work at 6 o'clock in the evening, but if there is some urgent business he stays at the office later.

4. Smirnov usually has dinner at home.

After dinner he reads newspapers and magazines, listens to the radio or watches television and helps his wife about the house. He goes to bed at 11.00.

1. Просмотрите и изучите лексику урока 10 с. 265-281 "Contract" (Дюканова Н.М., Богацкий И.С. Бизнес-курс английского языка. - Киев: Логос, 1998).

 1.1. Используя лексику урока, переведите на английский язык следующие   выражения:

1. All amendments and addendum to present Contract shall become effective only if done in writing and signed by both Parties.

If the Letter of Credit is delayed or / and opening for an improper amount the Buyer will pay the Seller a penalty of 0,1% of the Letter of Credit is delayed for more than 5 days, the Seller has the right of cancel the delivery of the lot of the Goods to be paid for from the Letter of Credit/

       1.The Sellers have sold and the Buyers have bought the following equipment C.I.F UFA as per Appendix No 1.

    2.The total amount of the Contract is US doll... The prices are firm for the duration of the Contract and are     understood to be C.I.F. UFA city by truck.

    3.All disputes and/ or contradictions arising out of or in connection with the present Con­tract shall be settled amicably by negotiations.

  Should the Parties fail to amicably settle the dispute, the matter with exception of juris­diction of ordinary courts, will be solved at the arbitration court of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation in Moscow in compliance with the regulations of4he said court. The award of the Arbitration court is final and binding for both parties.
