Our Institute

I am a first-year student. I study at a Social-Economic Institute. There are several departments in our Institute. They are: the economic department, the department of management, the linguistic department, the design, the department of informatics and modern technology and others.  The classrooms we study in are large and light. The students keep them in good order and clean them up every day.

There are many lecture halls in our Institute; history and engineering rooms, physics laboratory and many others. There is a well-eqiupped language laboratory at our Institute. We listen to records and work with tape-recorders there. This self-training helps us to improve our knowledge of English.

We study there for five years. We listen to the lectures of our teachers and get much interesting information on many problems. We study many subjects: history, philosophy, sociology, psychology, foreign languages and others.

In the senior years the students who are interested in research work join scientific societies. At the meeting of these societies they make reports and discuss scientific problems.

Our Institute has a library with large reading halls and shelves full of books, newspapers and scientific magazines. Any student may join the library and work in its reading halls or get books there. Experienced librarians always give the students good advice and recommend them what book to take. The students can take not only scientific literature but fiction as well; novels and short stories.

Our students pay much attention to physical culture and go in for sports. In our Institute there is a large gym where the students get training in various kinds of sports. They spend much time on training at their stadium, on the valley-ball and basketball courts, on the sport ground. The students join sports societies where excellent coaches train them in various kinds of sport.

We use all the opportunities to study and to rest in our Institute. We want to become well-trained and highly-educated specialists.
