Thomas Cook

Thomas Cook (1808 — 1892) founded the first travel agency.

"Thomas Cook Group" is famous all over the world now. Thomas Cook began his tourism activity in 1841 with a very simple service. He arranged [a'reincfcd] (урегулировал вопрос с) railway tickets and food for a train journey of a group of people who went from one place of England to another. Together with his son Cook formed a partnership, "Thomas Cook and Son Travel Agency". The company grew and began tours abroad. In 1872, it organized a round the world tour. It lasted 222 days. In 1888,

Now "Thomas Cook Group pic" formed in 2007 is one of the world's leading leisure travel groups. It operates in 21 countries. The slogan of the company is "Don't just book it. Thomas Cook it."
