The Flat/ House I’d Like to Live in

I live in a block of flats. Our flat isn’t large, in fact, it’s quite small. And sometimes I dream of a place I’d like to live in. I prefer houses to flats for you can alter or enlarge it to your liking.

So, this is the house of my dream, my dream house. It’s a detached house as I hate to listen to my neighbours or to be overheard by them. The house is not very large, but it’s not small either There are two floors and a cellar in it. On the first floor there’s a living-room, a dining-room and a large kitchen with all modem gadgets. Kitchen is a very important part of one’s house, because one spends so much time there, especially if one is a woman. On the second floor there are bedrooms for my family and for visitors, a nursery (for the present it may serve as a study) and a large beau­tiful bathroom. As for the furniture I wouldn’t have much of it as I like the place to be spacious and full of air but not stuffed with furniture. Around the house I’d have a small but beautiful gar­den, clamorous with flowers. I think there is nothing like having a cup of tea in the shade among flowers on a hot summer day. Of course, it would be absolutely great to have a swimming pool too. But I doubt if it’s possible in our parts. Well. I may speak on and on about my dream house but I wonder if my dream will ever come true.
