The opens pixel feature allows IRIS to receive the mailing and opens data from an external effort quickly and efficiently. This is accomplished by having the external mailing partner place a small pixel within the source code of their mailing. For dedicated and space ad efforts, this is automatically attached to external efforts as a default action.
Lift note and space ad creatives received from the system, will automatically have this pixel placed appropriately in their source code, with no further implementation or steps required:
The pixel code will be unique to every effort but will have the following format:

The SYSTEMURL will be the base url of the promotion
The XXXXXXX will be the 8 character promo code that identifies the efforts promotion and order information.
For other tertiary efforts (Editorial Mention links, PS note links etc.) you can elect to send the pixel as an attachment (text file) with instructions.
Opening the text file, the external partner will see the uniquely coded pixel ready for use:
They can then place the pixel anywhere in the email source code between the <body> tags to enable tracking:
