The law Faculty at our Institute was opened in 1998. It's very popular and prestigious nowadays. Extra mural students study at the Institute for five years. In the first year they take general higher education subjects such as Philosophy, Statistics, Computers, Economic theory, English and many others. Senior students are specializing in different branches of Law: Business Law, Criminal Law, Civil Law, Consumer Law, International Law etc. In the final year students may specialize in a definite branch of Law. During the session students have lectures, seminars, practical classes, class discussions, examinations and tests. At the lectures they listen to the lecturers, take notes and ask questions, if necessary. At the seminars they speak on the subject, make reports and take part in the discussions. At the end of each term students take examinations and credit-tests. At the end of the course the studies they sit for their final exams and present their graduation papers. The legal skills students of the Law Faculty obtain may be applied to many different fields. Graduates of the Law Faculty can work as lawyers notaries, investigators, judges, legal advisers (in business and finance), police officers or public procurators. So, the choice is rather rich.
