The Faculty of Economics and Management was opened in 1998. It trains specialists for small and medium-sized business. Students get professional knowledge and skills for banking, accounting, audit, taxation and insurance operations.
The Institute has a number of majors within the Faculty of Economics and Management. Among them are: Finance and Credit, Accounting and Audit, Information Systems and Management in Economics.
Extra-mural students study at the Institute for five years. In the first year they take general higher education subjects such as Philosophy, Statistics, Computers, Mathematics, a foreign language etc The senior students are specializing in such areas as Micro- and Macroeconomic theory, Finance operations, Banking, Management, Marketing, Accounting, Stock Exchange Operations, Securities etc. During the session students have lectures, seminars and practical classes. At the end of each term they take exams and credit tests. At the end of the course of studies they sit for their final exams and submit their graduations papers.
On graduation from the Institute graduates of the Faculty of Economics and Management can make a career in any kind of business. They can work for insurance, banking, taxation, audit and accounting companies, be involved in stock exchange operations or run their own business.
